George Andrews
Djing for over a decade and producing for 5, George Andrews plays and produces a mixture of sounds from Funky Soulful House through to Tech House and Funky Techno.
His productions tend to reflect his musical diversity fusing elements of each genre and making quality House tracks. Although only producing for 5 years George has seen releases on Moody, Multiply, Hussle, Ministry of Sound and Difference, and seen tracks on various compilations including Jim Masters 'Impossible blue' and Nic Fanciulli's recent 'DMC Live' compilation. Support from DJs has been widespread while Radio Support includes Kiss 100, and Radio One.
George is currently producing for various labels including his own Offset Music imprint which currently includes tracks and remixes by Dizzy (Doubledown), Fries & Bridges (MFF, Large), Sensei (Big Chief), Fresh & Low (Large, Black Vinyl), J - Jay and Chris Lum (Defected, Moulton Studios). George is currently producing for both Toolroom and Nic Fanciulli's Saved recordings under the 'Truby Lounge Collective' alias (which is already being championed by Deep Dish and Nic Fanciulli, as well as being one of the 10 pre-recorded tracks on Ministry Of Sound's new MP3 players).
Away from production, George has become renown for his DJ sets, playing various guest spots internationally alongside his UK residencies, including Club Class, Kent. Often described as '...the DJ's DJ' and '...one of the most technically gifted DJs around', George has played alongside Laurent Garnier, Mr. C, John Kelly, Jeremy Healy, Oliver Lieb, Steve Lawler, Luke Slater, Adam Beyer, DJ Dan, Fergie, Surgeon, and Peace Division to name but a few.
Heavily involved in Dance Music all his life George has also successfully promoted various Club nights booking the likes of Peshay & Doc Scott (MetalHeads) and Mr. Thing and First Rate (Scratch Perverts). George Andrews was also Shop Manager and Head Buyer for Plastic Surgery Records (Coolcuts Store) between 1997-2001, and has worked in Dance Music Distribution since then, running the Dance Dept. at Pinnacle Records (2001-2004) and working with new distributors such as Chicago’s Dust Trax (USA).
